Love with Food is a monthly snack subscription box that comes in either Tasting or Deluxe sizes. The Tasting size gives you 8-10 snacks and costs $9.99 per box ($7.99 with an annual plan). The Deluxe size gives you 16-20 snacks and costs $19.95 per box ($16.50 with an annual plan). I’ve tried Love with Food in the past, but ended up cancelling my subscription due to the cost. However, I recently received an offer to give it another shot for only $2.99, so I jumped at the chance.

The September box is themed “Smarty Pants” and features back-to-school type snacks. I opened the box and was delighted with all of the offerings. In the past, there are least 2-3 snacks I have no interest in, but I’ll be gobbling up every one of these!
Adult Complete Vitamin Pack by Smarty Pants – This is a sample packet that only contains two vitamins. They tasted like sugar coated fruit snacks, but contain a variety of vitamins and Omega-3s. I might actually consider taking daily vitamins if they taste this good!
Organic Fruit Snacks by YumEarth Organics – Jay is a fruit snack connoisseur, so I let him try these (and then asked him for one to sample!). He enjoyed them and said they had a lot of flavor and a unique texture. The outside was harder than normal but the inside was closer to actual juice. There wasn’t any of the powdery residue you normally find on the outside (I guess to keep them from sticking together?), which was a pleasant surprise.
Gluten Free Original Mini Pretzel Crisps by Snack Factory – Admittedly, I was skeptical of this snack due to the “gluten-free” label. Surely nothing gluten-free can taste good! However, these proved me quite wrong. They were more dense than a regular pretzel, but still crunchy, flavorful, and filling.
Harvest Snapea Crisps by Calbee – These crisps didn’t have much flavor, just a hint of salt but were very crunchy so they’d be perfect for satisfying a potato chip craving.
Mini Peanut Butter Clutter by jimmybar – Normally I’d prefer anything with peanut butter in the title to come in a much bigger size than this. However, this tasted more like a fruit bar with just a hint of peanut butter. The texture was gummy with a bit of crunch provided by rice krispies. It wasn’t unpleasant, but not something I’d buy for myself.
Cheddar N’ Stuff Super Crackers by Funley’s Delicious – These crackers had delightful faces stamped on each one, including a grandpa, grandma and a dog. They were similar to a Cheez-It but more dense and without as much cheese flavor. I guess that’s why they’re healthy?
Sea Salt Caramel Apple Granola by Bear Naked – I have yet to try this granola, but it sounds delicious. Next time I pick up some yogurt I’ll add this to make a parfait.
Cake Batter Cookie Thins by Mrs. Thinsters – This package was filled with a bunch of cookies, so I only ate half the first night and saved the rest for later. They reminded me of a more flavorful, more crunchy vanilla wafer. Yum!
This box was by far the best one I’ve received from Love With Food. The savory items were perfect for snacks at work and the sweet items I enjoyed for dessert in the evening. If Love With Food continues to announce 2-3 of their snacks ahead of time each month, I might consider buying their box at full price. It is a great way to sample new snacks before purchasing a full size bag.
